Male, 42 years, manual worker
Severe continuous low back and leg pain without sensory deficit
since 2 years.
Diagnosis: Progressive congenital lumbar spinal stenosis at level L4/5
with vertical segmental instability and initial pseudolisthesis,
segmental hypermobility in flexion, normal disc height.
Previous Therapy: Failed conservative treatment including
facet infiltration.
Surgery: Decompression L4/5 with implantation of DSS™ system
for dynamic
restabilization of treated segment.
Follow-up after 6 months: Patient is very satisfied with the treatment.
Complete recovery of leg pain with significant reduction of back pain.
